How to live a life? -The optimistic way or the pessimistic way? In my working life, customers are classified under 2 categories: the nice and friendly.....the fierce and unreasonable. However, there are always a way to handle these 2 different kinds of people. But when I'm handling my friends or people close to me, I really have no idea how to handle especially those pessimistic ones.
Optimistic people are always or most of the time happy. They see the world as a happy positive place. They usually believes that people are inherently good....seeing things very differently compared to pessimistic people.
Pessimistic people are always or most of the time unhappy. It's hard to make them think that life is good. They usually like to think negatively. They believe that when people are nice to you, they want something in return. In their world of living, no one is good.
Hmmmmmmm......I ever thought of this question a couple of time. Is it really hard to smile and think positively? When I'm young, life seems very unfair. My parents loves my brother more than me. Why? Why? Why? Why does it have to be like that? Is it because I'm not good? Is it because I'm not a boy? I dislikes my parents at that time so I don't really talk to them. Now that I've grown up, I tends to re-think of the past. Maybe I'm not a very good listener when I'm young. I'm more of the rebellious type when I'm young. My dad actually loves me alot. He's willing to spend so much money on me just because I wanted to study overseas. Everytime I come home from Australia, my mum will cook my favorite dishes, accompany me to go shopping and even buy those drama series for me to watch because I'm bored. As I grew up, I started to change my view of life. Things can be settled in a different ways if we sees it differently. Thinking positive is really not that hard.
Recently, I've heard that someone I used to befriend with tried to kill herself because of a guy. Does it really worth it? I mean losing a life to someone who already doesn't love you anymore. Does committing suicide will make him come back to her?
Another friend was so scared to meet or talk to her parents after her parents found out that she was back with her ex. I mean parents are always the closest people to you. How can you avoid them? Might as well stand-up straight and then march forward to your dad and tell him everything. She didn't really faced her dad in the end but then to her dad, it's actually the guy problem cos he used to hurt her ver deeply. He's just concern and scared that his daughter will suffer the same heart break like last time. The guy didn't really makes any moves to show that he's sincere though so now she's thinking that she's a loner. She can't open up to anyone in her life other than that guy. Does it really worth it?
Hehe....Does thinking pessimistic really worth people around you to care for you? You should be the first one to care for yourself before you want other people to care for you. Life is not cruel! Life is just full of challeneges that requires everyone to face them in order to grow up.

my family name...
As a start, I would like to clarify some things with a lot of people.....especially my friendsss. My family name is Chan and a lot of people eventually thought it's pronounced as "Chen", "Chun" or "Chan", written as 陳. Now, this is where everyone have made a mistake...."BIG MISTAKE".......(well, not really anyway)
- First to clarify: I'm not a Cantonese (where it's spelt as Chan) and I'm not a Teochew (where it's spelt as Tan). I'm a Chawan. Now, don't ask me what is that or where does Chawan people come from. Frankly speaking, I have nooooo ideaaaaa. I don't even know how to speak! I think Chawan is a kind of Hokkien. That's all!
- Secondly, surname is spelt 'Chan', pronounced as "Tian", "Tien" or "Tin", written as 田 (meaning field in Chinese).
Now folks, I present to you the origin of my surname......
It's the 57th most common last name in China. They are the descendents of ancient king Shun Di. Among them Wu Gongman, or Chen Wu Gongman was awarded the duke of Chen (at Weiyang in Henan). During duke Chen Heng Gongs time, there was a rebellion, and Heng Gong was killed. His brother Chen Tuo succeeded him as duke, known as Li Gong. Unfortunately, another rebellion soon followed, killing Li Gong. His son Chen Yuan fled to Qi kingdom. The duke of Qi wanted to make Chan Yuan a judge in his kingdom, but Chen Yuan rejected, and accepted a position as a supervisor of the carpenters. The duke of Qi awarded a piece of land to Chen Yuan and he later changed his name to Tian (meaning field). Some historians believe that he changed his name because the ancient pronunciation of Chen and Tian were the same. Others believe that the land that was awarded to him was an agricultural field, or a land that looked like a field.
It's a bit boring but I get to clarify now that my name is pronounced as 'Tian' and please don't get it wrong again...It's actually quite hard to correct people all the time.
Thank you thank you for those people who is willing to listen to me.
